Questions
to Answer in Your Report.
Please do not write your report as a set of
answers to the following questions. Instead, use these questions
for guidance of what important points should not be missed in
presenting your results and discussion
- Make a plot of cathodic and anodic peak current vs.
square root of scan rate for Fe(CN)63-
and Fe3+. Do you obtain the relashionship
between ip and n as you expected? Is it the same
for both ions?
- Are the redox reactions that you observe all reversible?
If not, what do you think happens?
- Report your numbers of E1/2 for all species
studied. Right the appropriate redox reactions. Any
comments on how E1/2 values vary between
species? When report your numbers, make sure that you
mention the reference electrode. It is also important to
notice when you compare your results with reported data.
By the way, you will need the numbers that you measure in
one of your future labs.
- Were you able to record E1/2 for O2
+ e- --> O2-? Elaborate on that.
- Evaluate accuracy of your measurements
c) Your own project.
You can come up with your own project within the scope of the
setup you use.
