a. Although the Chem 115-116 series is highly recommended for majors, an alternative 3 semester CHEM 111/112/217 sequence is also available for students who have weak prior chemistry training.

* Will satisfy the advanced lab requirement to receive an ACS certified degree. Other lab courses that meet this requirement are Chem 395L, 463, 485 and 494. Students electing to take 39L must also take 395.

443H is an honors theis course that can be used to fulfill the honors program requirement.

NOTE: Students need to take at least 9 credits of Elective courses at the 300 or above level in order to meet the 55 hour >300 requirement. Select General Ed courses that will also meet the College of Arts and Sciences requirements. Except for the "Wider World" General Ed requirement, the order of taking the General Ed courses is not important.
