Procedure to Print NMR Spectra from the Unity 400
 

After a VNMR account has been opened for a new user first select a printer/plotter through the following menu selections: Main Menu, More, Configure, select Set Printer and Set Plotter to LaserjetII, HP Business Inkjet 2800, etc.

Similarly, new accounts must create experimental work space with the following sequence: Main Menu, Workspace, Create New, and select Exp2, Exp3, or Create New.


A. If spectra has just been taken and is on screen, first select Dscale1

    1. Select Display
    2. Select Plot
    3. Select Plot again, which is on the left side of the menu
    4. Select Scale, All Parameters, Peaks, and Page to print the spectra

B. To print spectra that has been stored first retrieve it from `fatman' using the following
    1. Select File and then select Parent until the selection is unchanging
    2. Select fatman1 and Change to select that directory.
    3. Repeat the process to Change from fatman1 to CHEM639 (or any directory where you data is located. The following shows the complete path to locate the data files where FID files are stored: fatman1/chem639/vnrmsys/data/, that is repeat the Change directory step for each of the mentioned directories.
    4. Highlight the desired data file and select Load from the menu to display the conditions under which the spectra was obtained.
    5. The select Process and WFTransform to convert the FID into a spectra, select Dscale  and follow the procedure described under A to print the spectra.

Procedure to Save a FID

    1. From the Main VNRM menu go to File
    2. Select Data and then SaveFID. The FID will be saved in the users Data directory.

Procedure to Retrieve a FID

    1. From the Main VNMR menu go to File
    2. Select Set Directory and then select Home until the root directory is reached, i. e. until         there are no more changes in the files displayed.
