Hands on Modern Instrumentation for Undergraduate and Graduate Students

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is well-equipped with modern instrumentation to support its teaching and research projects. In addition, efforts are constantly underway to update and expand these facilities. The links above provide additional information on some of the major instrumentation that are used by the Department. In addition to this major instrumentation, a variety of other equipment (such as chromatographs, spectrometers, electrochemistry appartus, and organic synthesis) is available to individual research groups.
All chemistry students are provided with the opportunity to gain practical experience in all major techniques. It is the department's belief that the students should learn both the practical applications and theoretical basis of technical equipment.
A variety of research and teaching instruments are available.
