 Cary 100 Tab Setting to Adjust Wavelength Scaning Paramaters

 

The following are general or suggested setting. Every procedure may have completely different settings. The Cary Tab is first.Cary TabsCary Tab (Select the wavelength and absorbance range)

X Mode     Start 800 nm Stop 200 nm (or other desired range for the spectrum)

Y Mode     Absorbance Y Minimum -0.02 Y Maximum 1.00 (consider other values depending on sample)
Cycle Mode off (e. g. unchecked)
Options Tab (Selects the single, dual, scan controls, and overlay options)
Beam Mode Dual Beam
Scan Controls Simple Speed Medium
Display Options Overlay Data
Baseline tab
Correction Baseline Correction
Accessory tabs
All accessories off
Reports tab
Name and Experiment Type
Comment Add comments which will appear on the printed spectrum and report.
Options Use Data Form on Graph 100% Paper Height Parameters on
Peaks All Peaks Peak Labels X & Y Labels Autoconvert none
   Click on the Peak Information button and make these settings:
   X & Y Labels on Y Decimals 2 Peak Type Peaks Peak Threshold 0.01
     Click OK to return to the Reports tab.
